About Us…
The Community Art Center of Switzerland County is home to a vibrant collective of 35-40 local artists. Operated entirely by dedicated volunteers, the center thrives on the passion and generosity of individuals who not only create, but also generously give of their time to ensure the continued success of the center. When you visit, you will be welcomed by artists who are deeply committed to their craft and to fostering this creative community.
As members of the Art Center we consider ourselves blessed to be a gathering place and the “art, heart, and soul” of the community by playing a meaningful role in its creative development. Our dedication to this purpose can be noted through our participation in committed events designed to engage people of all ages, to draw individuals into the gallery, and to encourage their enthusiasm for art and artistic growth.
Rich in history, the center is more than just a gallery. It is part of a larger story that includes the historic building and the charming town that surrounds it. Like many small art centers, we are a nonprofit organization sustained by the support of our community. With sincere gratitude, we extend heartfelt thanks to those organizations in our community who provide grant funding, making it possible for our continued growth.
