Upcoming Events
Student Art Show May 1st 6pm to 9pm
The Student Art Show is a compilation of art from the students of our community. The Switzerland County High School, the Switzerland County Middle School, the Jefferson/Craig Elementary School, and the Switzerland County Homeschool Group are all contributors to this wonderful show. Thanks to a generous fund established in honor of Jay Benzing, a beloved teacher and artist who was a devoted Art Center member, a donation of $200 for art supplies will be awarded to each participating school. Come visit us at the Community Art Center on show night to peruse the splendid art and support our students efforts.
6th Grade Camp Out May 8th
The Community Art Center is a yearly participant of the 6th grade camp out. Held at the Whitewater Christian Service Camp, this eight hour day will be filled with arts and crafts. Members of the Art Center will be there to guide campers through fun-filled activities.
Goatauqua May 9th 10am - 3pm
Goatauqua is a community based celebration held each spring. The Community Art Center participates in many ways to assist in making this one-day festival successful. Some planned activities will include face painting, goat yoga, and a live goat costume contest. Members of the art center will guide participants through four different craft projects and completion of the “hands-on-the-wall” mural. Music and food will be available throughout the day. Come join the community in celebrating Goatauqua between 10am-3pm in downtown Vevay. Eager participants can come early (8am) to assist Tourism in getting set up and ready for the day.
